4-Week Off-Leash Training

Off-Leash Training – Freedom for Your Dog, Peace of Mind for You!


Our Off-Leash program includes daily training sessions with your dog while boarding with
us to respond reliably to voice commands and hand signals, whether they’re right beside you
or across a park, sprinting down the beach or exploring a hiking trail – all without a leash.
Each voice command has a corresponding hand signal, giving you the option for silent,
nonverbal communication. This is particularly useful in situations where voice commands
aren’t practical—around other dogs, in quiet environments, or at a distance.
Voice and hand signals include:

Your dog will learn the following commands while off leash:

  • Sit – Listens and stays seated until released
  • Stay – Holds position even around distractions
  • Down – Lies down calmly on command
  • Come – Returns to you promptly off leash
  • Heel – Walks politely at your side
  • Leave It – Ignores unwanted items or distractions
  • Off – Stop jumping on people, counter-surfing, etc.
  • Place – Go to their bed on command

We’ll also tackle behavioral issues your dog may have like chewing, digging, jumping on
people, play biting, and incessant barking, and will work with you so you’ll know how to
correct your dog and stop bad behavior.

Our 4-week Program includes boarding and daily training with your dog, and private lessons
with you and your dog. After graduation, we offer unlimited follow up lessons at the Ranch
at no additional charge. So, if at any time your dog is pulling or not responding to you, just
schedule a lesson with us.

Is Your Dog Ready for Off-Leash Training?

While any dog can learn off-leash obedience, this program works best if your dog is:

  • At least 10 months old
  • Responds perfectly to simple commands while on leash
  • Is not overtly aggressive toward people or other dogs
